Here's a little bit about me and my work.

I rekindled my love of art and creativity in 2017 after leaving a successful and happy career in Local Government. Art is a long way from the spreadsheets and finances I used to work on...though perhaps not if you imagine the creativity needed!

Fast forward to 2019 and I'm drawing more things, and taking commissions and I'm really enjoying myself.  I won an award, I joined some groups and I was picking up skills from some of the best colour pencil artists out there.  2020 arrived and I won another award and I joined more groups and continued to work hard, specialising in realism with coloured pencils, but always trying new things.

It's 2022 now, and I am still experimenting. I am beginning to find my artistic voice, and I have a solid set of skills behind me. My personal work is always colourful, mostly unusual and often complex. Colour Pencils will always be a favourite for realism, but I enjoy exploring other ideas in other ways with other mediums.  I write a monthly blog where I discuss ideas and topics that excite me.

I am proud to be an Artist Ambassador for Derwent, a position that enables me to continue to grow. I am also a member of the International Guild of Realism and the UK Coloured Pencil Society.

I love to encourage people in their exploration of art and I am now passing on the knowledge I've learned about coloured pencils via workshops and tutorials. I do LIVE videos and am starting a YouTube channel too.

If you are interested in organising a workshop or are seeking 1:1 mentorship, do get in touch.

Thank you!
