Join me for a full day coloured pencil workshop focussing on one of the trickiest textures for many pet portrait artists - soft, sleek flat fur.
While long or fluffy coats can often feel forgiving within the chaos, short gleaming fur can be surprisingly difficult to recreate convincingly. Many artists struggle to capture the subtle direction changes, soft transitions, shine and shadows without the fur looking harsh, scratchy or overworked.
